September Studio Work

After the aforementioned miscalculation with the opacity of paint with 162, there was a further risk taken with some 18 month old Bioresin, which worked out alright on the whole, though it's not supposed to work as well after a few months. Some lax mixing (I assume) resulted in an area that had a bizarre reaction. I have now gouged this out and continued with Dove Grey/Almond Cream household gloss as planned. Whilst the brown oblong area wasn't originally intended, it seems to be a welcome addition to the composition.

It still reminds me of not being able to sleep, in that phase between being asleep and awake, possibly watching television and background becoming foreground. It looks less of a bed now, and more of a painting with a pillow set into.

I'll be involved with an exhibition at the 491 Gallery in Leytonstone, East London, 15-29 November, which I shall refer to AF:2012. It relates to the regeneration of East London, especially with the forthcoming 2012 Olympics, and will include Iavor Lubomirov, Jordan Dalladay-Simpson, Sy Hackney, Mark Green and Sara Moubarek. Come.
